This charming villa is situated in a dramatic landscape of Jaenâs green Sierra Sur providing a unique and peaceful country retreat. You will certainly enjoy the stunning views on the surrounding landscape from its lovely pool area! The villa gives the impression of being at a beautiful remote place, although it is set in a rural residential area with neighbouring villas on similar beautiful grounds. A grill-restaurant is a convenient walk away. The provincial capital, Jaén, is only a short drive away (15 km) whilst many interesting and antique cities invite you for a visit. Granada with its Alhambra palace is a bit more than an hour drive away (116 km). The cities of Ubeda (80 km) and Baeza (68 km) are well kept Andalusian secrets with a rich history and a must if you are here for a holiday. With a lush green environment of oaks and rock roses, this is also a walkers paradise. At a few kilometres from here, you will be impressed by the never ending olive fields providing Jaenâs excellent olive oil.For your alfresco dinners, a nice corner with patio furniture is set under the shade of oak trees; a barbecue is provided. Adjacent, you will find the tempting private pool with sun loungers. On a lower level, there is another totally independent villa that can be rented, ideal for families who holiday together, yet want to preserve their own privacy (see Villa Jaén 003). Both villas are connected by an internal staircase that can be closed from both sides.
The interior of the villa features quality furniture chosen with excellent taste by its owners. The spacious rooms, all set on the same floor, enjoy abundant natural light and a rustic ambiance. Traditional elements, like natural stones, old bricks, and wooden beams blend with Andalusian colours and locally made fabrics, all combined with a great eye for detail. The open-plan living/dining room has 2 sofas, an open fireplace, TV and DVD. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, an oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, washing machine, and a dishwasher. The two bedrooms are decorated with elegance (1 double, 1 twin). One complete bathroom.Note: A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).

We had a wonderful holiday and found the villa to be everything we wanted and more. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and everything was in good working order. The pool and the garden were well maintained and spacious and the whole surroundings were very attractive. The views of course were stunning and the position of the villa on the mountain meant that the early to mid mornings were pleasantly cooler and you then had the sunny evenings and glorious sun-sets. We found the design of the two separate villas within the one building to be very clever and allowed both villas to maintain privacy from each other. In terms of location, we found the villa to be convenient for Jaen (which we really liked) while day trips to towns such as Ubeda, Baeza and Granada etc were easy and straight forward. We also found the Jaen region to be untouristy and unspoilt (i.e. we did not feel surrounded by other tourists). We plan to come back!

Vacances au calme
Nous avons énormément apprécié notre passage dans cette maison et cette région; loin du tourisme de masse. Les sites touristiques Andalou comme Cordoba, Granada, Ubeda et Baeza sont très accessibles et sont à voir. La vie dans la maison est très agréable aussi pour y passer des journées de détente sans oublier la belle piscine très appréciée. La maison est propre et bien entretenue avec des propriétaires très sympathiques, accueillants et discrets pendant le séjour. Pour les passionnés de vélo , il y a de beaux circuits à faire !! Ce fut de belles vacances.
