This small, welcoming cottage is located in a residential area called "Cortijos de San Rafael", in between the popular seaside resort of Nerja (3,5 kms) and the unspoilt village of Frigiliana. The house enjoys a quiet location, yet is within easy reach of the road between Nerja and Frigiliana. The private pool has an eco-friendly purification system. Air conditioning and wifi internet is provided!
The entrance to the house is via a spacious, sunny patio which is made of hand-crafted bricks. It is full of flowerpots and there is a little garden on the right hand side. The wooden door (which is painted blue to match the window frames for a truly Mediterranean feel) leads to the dining room, kitchen, lounge and bathroom. A large glass door leads to a spacious terrace with patio furniture and barbecue. The terrace is covered by a pergola and you will enjoy with nice views towards the sea, the countryside and the mountains. The position of this terrace is ideal both for summer and winter stays. The private pool (6m x 3m x 1.4/1.8 deep) is equipped with a chemical-free, ionization system, friendly for skin and environment! At the end of the pool there is a beautiful hand-made mosaic, created by a local artist. Its' theme and name is SOL (sun). The outdoor furniture consists of sun loungers, a table and a large sun shade.
The dining room with its table and four chairs has views of the patio at the entrance. In the lounge there is a comfortable sofa, a practical, comfortable armchair, a coffee table, and a sideboard with TV (English channels are available), DVD, & CD/radio (with a selection of films and music). There is also a wood-burning stove. The sunny master bedroom on the ground floor (with a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables), has special feel. The original headboard was designed and made by a local artist using materials such as hand-forged iron, wood and stone. This bedroom gets plenty of light through the glass door, with a view of the huge terrace overlooking the main house where there is an ancient Algarrobo (Carob, a protected tree native to the area).
From the living room, a staircase leads to the second bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and bookcase with many Spanish and English books. This bedroom has a pretty ensuite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. The practical and well-equipped kitchen consists of a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, mini oven, butane gas hob, kettle, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, extractor hood, smoke detector, juicer, and everything you need for your holiday enjoyment.
The bathroom is decorated with hand finished tiles and consists of a wash basin, WC, and a shower (hair dryer included). The water is heated by solar panels. The washing machine is placed in a utility room. The cottage also offers attractive extras such a hot and cold air conditioner, a safe box, and broadband internet access for guests who bring their own laptop (no extra charge). In addition, our guests also have a designated private parking space.Note:- A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).- Air conditioning is available in the living room; it is optional at 50 EUR per week.

We spent a wonderful holiday within 10 days in this cottage in March 2012. We were very-very sad to leave the Spain. Specially we still miss your beautiful house. We liked this house so much! In the house was all the necessary for enjoyable life. It is very homelike and cosiness house. It was exactly for us - for 4 friends. I can say, that it was my best holiday in my life. I am at home now, but may soul is in Spain still. We like Frigiliana so much. It is a very beautiful place. Rosario and Javier, you are very-very lovely and friendly. It was very nice to meet you. We like this place!My wife says it is like coming home! Immaculate and very cosy!Lovely pool up on the roof, lovely terrace both with stunning views of the mountains and the sea.Within walking distance to Frigiliana or just 5 minutes by car to both there and also down to Nerja with shops, beaches etc..Peaceful but not too peaceful, and close to the village and the life of Nerja.Perfect - we will return!

What a fabulous place!
We're about to go back for a fourth time to this wonderful haven. Javier, Rosario and their children are discreet but very welcoming hosts. Quiet but, not too quiet. Small but, not too small. Just about right if you want a get away from it all holiday that's not too far from family oriented nightlife and great beaches.

Lovely holiday
We have stayed in Dachita Frigiliana in both 2010 and 2011, and we will be back in june 2012 We love to stay in the quiet facility of Dachita. Lovely pool on the roof terace with a wonderful view over the ocean and Nerja. We really enjoy the warm evenings on the balcony with the beautiful lights of Nerja. Frigiliana nearby is a very nice village with all the lovely and charming houses. We love to stay here, and we look forward to be back year after year. Once again Javier and Rosario proved themselves to be the most friendly and helpful people in the whole of Spain! Over the past few years we have stayed in nearly all of the properties owned by Javier and Rosario (ref. Nerja 046, Frigiliana 002 and Frigiliana 015) and all are of very high quality and in lovely locations, the views are fantastic with vistas over Nerja and the Med and mountains providing a stunning backdrop. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of the houses.

Perfect Gem!
The Cottage was absolutely perfect: clean, airy, well-laid out with wonderful terraces AND the pool!! The extremely kind owners, who gave us plenty of information about hiking trails and beaches also left us a generous amount of fresh food to make our first meal! You can't find this even in 4 star accommodations!! I would recommend this, or any of Javier and Rosario's properties to any traveler. They are the BEST!!

Un petit paradis!
Dès notre arrivée nous avons été séduits par l'accueil chaleureux et attentionné des propriétaires. Un panier de produits alimentaires variés pour nous dépanner les premières heures, une flamme dans le foyer pour créer une ambiance agréable, un décor choisi avec goût, une propreté impeccable...tout était parfait! Nous n'avons passé que 5 jours mais nous avons été sous le charme! Javier et Rosario sont des hôtes très professionnels qui ont à cÅur le bien-être de leurs clients! Cela devient rare! Merci!
