The owners of this villa have done everything to make you feel at home in Spain: there is comfortable furniture, plenty of books to read, a CD player with a nice selection of CDs, air conditioning, internet access... With its commanding position on a hillside between Nerja (5 km) and Frigiliana (1.5 km), this Andalusian cottage is truly a private hideaway.
The cottage is located north of Nerja, within the National Park area of the Sierra Tejada, so you will find yourself surrounded by nature. You may see squirrels, foxes, rabbits, mountain goats, wild boar, partridge, eagles, and other wild creatures here! The cottage is accessed by a steep concreted track and offers unbeatable views of the surrounding countryside down to the coast. On the front you'll find a covered veranda that provides a shady retreat for a siesta whilst the private pool (4 x 3m; irregularly shaped) with sun terrace is adjacent to the villa.Note: The owner will show you the road that leads from Nerja to the property in a 12 minutes drive through the countryside. The roads are all surfaced with asphalt or concrete. For the more adventurous among us, there is a quicker, alternative way that takes only 5 minutes by car from the Nerja-Frigiliana main road, but can only be used in the dry season as the Rio Higueron needs to be crossed. Itâs only 5 minutes drive but we advise care because of the sharp curves and steep climbs.
Javier and Rosario, the friendly owners of La Reserva, have decorated and equipped the house with the very same things that they would like for themselves during their holidays. You will notice their attention to detail and will like the lovely Andalusian style decor. All the rooms of the cottage are on one floor. The dining/living room comes with an open fireplace, a built-in sofa, satellite-TV, and a CD and DVD player. The open-plan kitchen is well equipped with a 4 ringed gas hob, microwave with grill/oven function, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bedrooms comprise a double and a twin. There is a shower room with WC and washbasin.Note:- A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).- Air conditioning is available in the living room; it is optional at 50 EUR per week.

The lovely owners, Javier and Rosario, rightfully pride themselves on providing a home away from home for their guests and have great attention to detail. The cottage is reached by a very steep road, but once there, you won't want to move. Everything is provided for a comfortable, pleasant stay in the sun, just bring the vino and the lamb chops to throw on the BBQ. Relax on the terrace and gaze at the incredible views over the river valley across to the old village of Frigiliana and bask around the pool or enjoy the house with all it's comforts.

Es war ein schöner Urlaub.
Das Haus Villa La Reserva ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Es fehlt an gar Nichts. Man genieÃt schon am Morgen den herrlichen Ausblick über die Region. Die Gegend ist einfach traumhaft und idyllisch. Wer es ruhig und abgeschieden mag ist hier total richtig. Es war ein schöner Urlaub. Wenn wir wieder einmal nach Andalusien fahren, werden wir sicher wieder hierher finden.

Totally tranquil and peaceful
We really enjoyed our holiday at the cottage, it was just what we needed, totally tranquil and peaceful. The views from the villa are breath taking. We loved the position of the villa, away from it all in the Parque Natural, but within easy access to Nerja and Frigiliana. (we were lucky enough to see the eagles you mentioned swooping through the valley one afternoon! ). The cottage had everything we needed, it is beautifully furnished and the internet was a bonus for Kenny who canât be far from his laptop!!, the terrace and gardens were superb for that all important sunbathing! (We wish we were driving along that road to the villa tonight! as we are both very sad to be back in Edinburgh).

Hemos pasado unos dÃas estupendos.
A principios de julio de 2011 hemos pasado unos dÃas estupendos en esta casita. Es una casita rural construida en plena sierra con piscina. Debido a la ubicación de la casita (en lo alto de la montaña y rodeada de bosque) hemos disfrutado de la tranquilidad mas absoluta. Hemos hecho senderismo y avistado zorros, ardillas y aves rapaces. Pensamos recomendarla a nuestros amigos.

Perfect
We had a wonderful week in this casita! It's complete and of good quality. Here you experience the real spanish life. Javier and Rosario are very nice and hospitible, they make you feel welcome at first sight. To go short: we recommend this casita to everybody who's in to a quality week of relaxation and nature. And when you're up for some life, you go downtown to Nerja (10 minute drive).

The best holiday ever......
This was one of the most enjoyable holidays ever. The house is beautiful and perfectly fitted out. The bed very comfortable. The pool perfect to jump in and out off to cool off. The setting and views amazing. Javier and Rosario the owners are amazing. They could not be more helpful or pleasant. We went to a wedding in Nerja and as taxis do not service this area, they dropped and collected us. I have never had a more relaxing break. We did go to Frigiliana quite a bit. A really beautiful town. Have to recommend the Polish Restaurant. Food was amazing and it certainly encouraged me to start looking up Polish recipes. The only thing to watch out for is the drive up. It is very steep and you need to have a decent car and nerves of steel. We loved it though and you will too. I cant begin to explain how wonderful this house is or how lovely Javier and Rosario are, but if you go you will find out and like us you will have the best holiday ever.
